Return & Refund Guidelines
At Jimaikin Engineering LLC, we want customers to feel confident when ordering. If something goes wrong, we’ll fix it using the guidelines below. These rules exist so returns don’t turn into a reality show.
Return Window
You may request a return or refund within:

30 days of delivery (based on carrier tracking “Delivered” status)
Requests submitted after 30 days may be declined.
Eligible Reasons for Return / Refund
1) Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, you are eligible for:

Replacement, or
-
Refund (full or partial depending on the situation)
2) Incorrect Item Received
If we sent the wrong item, you are eligible for:

Free replacement, or
-
Full refund
3) Change of Mind (No longer want it)
We may accept change-of-mind returns if:

The item is unused

In original condition
-
In original packaging (if applicable)
Change-of-mind returns may be subject to return shipping costs (see below).
Items Not Eligible for Return
Returns may be refused if:

The item was used, altered, or damaged after delivery

Missing original parts/accessories/manuals that were included

Item shows misuse, neglect, or abnormal wear

Return request is outside the 30-day window

The product is clearly marked final sale / non-returnable at checkout (if applicable)
What You Need to Provide (So we can actually help)
To process your request, email us with:

Order number

Your name and delivery address

A short description of the issue

Photos (required for damaged/defective/wrong item claims)
If photos aren’t provided for damage/defect claims, we may not be able to approve the return/refund.
Return Shipping Costs
If the return is our fault (wrong item, defect, or damage)

We cover the return shipping cost (when return is required), or
-
We may issue a refund/replacement without requiring a return (case-by-case)
If it’s change of mind

Customer is responsible for return shipping costs

Original shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable
Return Approval & Instructions
Do not ship anything back until you receive approval and return instructions from us.
Once approved, we will provide:

Return address (if needed)

Packaging and shipping instructions

Any required reference number or label (if applicable)
Returns shipped without authorization may be refused.
Condition of Returned Items
Returned items must be:

Properly packaged to prevent damage in transit

In the same condition as received (unless it arrived defective/damaged)
If a returned item arrives back to us damaged due to poor packaging, the refund may be reduced or denied.
Refund Amounts
Depending on the situation, refunds may be:

Full refund (wrong item, confirmed defect, confirmed damage)

Partial refund (missing parts, returned in reduced condition, or other justified cases)

No refund (not eligible)
Refund Processing Time
If a refund is approved:

We issue the refund to the original payment method

Processing time after approval (typical):

PayPal: 1–5 business days

Card via Stripe: 5–10 business days (depends on your bank)

Note: Banks can take longer to post the refund even after we send it.
Exchanges / Replacements
If you prefer a replacement instead of a refund:

We will ship the replacement after approval

Replacement timing depends on stock availability
If an identical replacement is unavailable, we will offer:

A refund, or
-
A comparable alternative (only with your approval)
Late Delivery, Lost Packages & Carrier Issues
Late delivery
Shipping delays caused by the carrier are not automatically refundable.
However, if your package is stuck or shows no movement for an extended period, contact us and we will help investigate.
Lost packages
If tracking shows:

Delivered but you did not receive it: we may request confirmation steps (checking neighbors/front desk, carrier inquiry).

In transit with no updates for an unusual length of time: we will open an investigation with the carrier.
Refunds or reshipments for lost packages are handled case-by-case based on tracking and investigation results.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If you file a chargeback while a return/refund request is being reviewed:

The case may be paused until the payment dispute is resolved

This can significantly slow down resolution (because financial institutions love paperwork)
